EATON Brake Pins

Eaton brake pins divide the braking force in assistance with the pull rod and transmit this force to the outer shoe lever. As a result, the braking action is spread evenly over both shoes, providing maximum stopping power with minimum wear of the brakes.

Özellikler

  • These brake pins do not require greasing as the pin holes incorporate non-grease bearings, thus making them easy to maintain.
  • They help to adjust the shoe travel during operation in the de-energised condition to compensate for the lining wear. The pin (in this condition) is flushed with the surface of the bushing and aids in the accurate adjustment of the shoe.

Sık Sorulan Sorular

How are DC magnetic brakes operated?

  • When the coil is energised the armatures are attracted together to compress the torque spring, moving the shoes away from the wheel and releasing the brake.
  • During de-energisation of the coil, the torque spring separates the armatures and presses the shoes against the wheel, thereby setting the brake and making it fail-safe in the event of a power failure.

What is shoe lining?

Shoe linings are composed of asbestos-based material, having a high coefficient of friction and low rate of wear. They are bolted to shoes as standard and can be easily replaced.

What is meant by shoe positioning?

Brake shoes can be positioned to compensate for misalignment of the brake to ease device installation. They come with cap screws and gripping blocks that rigidly secure brake shoe levers and prevent the shoes from tilting and riding the wheel when the brake is released.
